Numerous mineral resources have already been located and mapped, but at insufficiently high yield rates to break even at todays ore extraction rates and milling costs, traditional mining methods are simply not cost effective when faced with smaller or deeper deposits.

There is a clear need for new narrow vein mining techniques to not only improve ore extraction rates and reduce dilution of extracted ore but also to lower the overall capital cost of the extraction process, lowering operating costs though higher recovery rates are the design goals of this project along with improved operator safety and reduced environmental impact.
